Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Utility Manager Specialist to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. The ideal candidate has at least five years of high-level experience with ENERGYCAP Software, including full project setup, including creating organizations and meters, and special adjustments in ENERGYCAP. This role is best suited for a self-motivated professional with a background in utility bill management and energy data analysis.

• Do you have 5 or more years of advanced experience working with ENERGYCAP Software?
• Have you independently initiated and managed projects from scratch in ENERGYCAP, including creating organizations and meters, and applying special adjustments for cost avoidance analysis?
• Do you have 5+ years of experience in utility bill analysis, including reviewing utility data, validating units and rates, and identifying opportunities for energy and cost savings?

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and input monthly utility data into ENERGYCAP Software.
• Collect utility bills from providers and clients; ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Create and maintain client organizations and meters in ENERGYCAP.
• Perform cost avoidance and energy savings analysis using ENERGYCAP tools.
• Generate and deliver quarterly energy performance reports for clients.
• Provide ongoing utility tracking to measure and verify energy savings.
• Support project engineers in tracking client efficiency measures.
• Set up new client accounts and maintain data accuracy across projects.
• Maintain project schedules and documentation using Google Docs or project management platforms.
• Deliver high-quality client service and communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ENERGYCAP Software (required).
• Proven ability to initiate and manage projects within ENERGYCAP from the ground up.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing utility bills and energy data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related technical field preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including formulas, data manipulation, and report generation.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and experienced in working remotely.
• Experience in a startup or small-team environment is a plus.
• Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) is a plus, but not required.
• Passion for sustainability and energy efficiency is essential.
