Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a Food Service Associate to prepare and assemble hot and cold meals for patients and staff, following standardized recipes and safety standards.

You will stock nursing pantries, deliver trays, monitor temperatures, and keep workstations clean in a fast-paced hospital environment. English communication is required and ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English.
• Able to observe, listen, and follow directions.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• ServeSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items following recipes and production requirements.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments; maintain inventory records.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients with proper ID and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment; use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers; process transactions accurately and monitor sanitation logs.

Job Description:

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed. Other duties as assigned.
