Job Description
The Utility Worker reports to the Culinary Services Director. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with a pay rate of $15/hr. The role involves performing general cleaning duties in the kitchen, washing equipment for meals and cooking activities, and delivering excellent customer service to staff and residents.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following sanitation standards
• Operate dishwashing machinery properly and safely
• Clean, prep, and wash pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, and silverware; ensure proper storage
• Ensure all chemical dispensers are functioning and supplies are adequate
• Use safety equipment to meet OSHA standards
• Empty and clean kitchen garbage and dispose of it properly
• Assist in dining room by removing soiled dishes during meal service and returning them to the dishwashing station

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience in service or kitchen roles preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Abilities

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell during work
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and supporting residents as needed, using proper body mechanics
