Continental Services is hiring a Utility/Dishwasher for CCS Taubman Cafe. This full-time position requires rotating shifts, including evenings or weekends, and pays $18.00 per hour. You will help maintain cleanliness, load dishwashers, handle waste, and support front-of-house operations to ensure a great guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots, delicate china).
• Store clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and equipment properly.
• Ensure adequate clean dishes during peak hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock and notify supervisor when needed.
• Check dishwashing machines and report issues.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize the kitchen area including floors, walls, doors and handles.

Compensation: $18.00 / hour

Description

A Utility Team Member responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates and utensils, loading dish washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. In addition, collecting garbage, sweeping, mopping and upkeep of the overall cleanliness of the facility inside and out. If you want to kick start your career in the restaurant industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations, we’d like to meet you. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings or weekends. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
2. Load and unload dishwashing machines
3. Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
4. Store clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
5. Ensure there are always enough clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
6. Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and notify supervisor when necessary
7. Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
8. Remove garbage regularly
9. Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, walls, doors and handles
