Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking an experienced Utility Designer II to prepare and revise complex utility designs for residential and commercial developments. You will work with engineers, project managers, and external agencies to ensure accurate, constructible designs and timely delivery.

You will independently layout electric and gas utility systems, analyze field data for optimal layouts, and coordinate with municipalities and providers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of utility design experience, including electric and gas distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS for mapping and data analysis and coordination with design teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise complex utility design drawings, construction documents, and exhibits from redlines and engineering input.
• Independently perform utility design layout for electric, gas, and other infrastructure systems on land development projects.
• Coordinate utility designs with internal engineering teams, municipalities, and utility providers to facilitate project execution.
• Mentor junior designers and technicians as needed.
