Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Utility CAD Designer to support electric utility infrastructure projects in New York. You will collaborate with engineering and construction teams to develop, maintain, and update utility drawings and street maps covering electric distribution, underground utilities, feeders, transmission-related work, and substations.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Utility CAD Designer to support a portfolio of electric utility infrastructure projects in New York.

This position will work closely with engineering and construction teams to develop, maintain, and update utility drawings and street maps supporting electric distribution, underground utilities, feeders, transmission-related work, network improvements, substations, and special infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Create and update utility drawings using AutoCAD
• Overlay utility drawings onto existing base maps
• Update CAD drawings using field survey and GPS data
• Work from existing PDF utility plates and street drawings
• Incorporate new field information into existing utility maps

What We're Looking For

• 2+years of design experience
• Experience with CAD drafting and design
• Utility, infrastructure, or street mapping experience
• Ability to interpret and update utility/street drawings
• Experience overlaying utility drawings onto base maps
• Ability to work from existing PDF drawings and utility plates
• Understanding of survey/GPS data and its application within CAD
• Ability to accurately incorporate field changes into existing drawings
• Experience coordinating with engineering and/or construction teams
