Summary of Job: The Utility role supports efficient press operations by loading and operating the roll stand, auto splicer, and label applicators while maintaining consistent ink and glue levels. It includes logging inventory, preparing materials for upcoming jobs, assisting with setup and wash‑ups, and ensuring the line remains clean. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures, and active participation in the Pregis apprenticeship program to foster continuous improvement. Ideal candidates are detail‑oriented, team players, and capable of working efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor/Operator III or Operator I, the role oversees production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost while meeting company standards for quality and performance and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures.
Overview: Has ability to assist in the operation of multiple types of equipment according to all Standard Operating Procedures. Maintains quality standards and helps operate machine within acceptable levels for waste and productivity. Maintains consumables (paper, ink, water, etc.) during production.
