Job summary

Pregis is hiring for a Utility-Days role in Arlington, TX. This full-time, hourly position supports pressroom operations, prepares makeready materials, and helps maintain rollers, bearings, and warehouse stock.

You will work a 6AM-6PM 2-2-3 shift and collaborate with the Shift Supervisor and the manufacturing team to keep production moving smoothly. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be safety-conscious, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeps plant clean and safe; maintains solvent, glue and oil areas.
• Packages waste properly and maintains orderly space in the warehouse.

Shift Available: 6AM-6PM (2-2-3 Schedule)

Roll Tender Summary Of Job

Takes direction from VP manufacturing. This position seeks to maintain consumable inventories and aid in our 5S housekeeping efforts and ready makeready materials as needed.

Roll Tender Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Readies all make-ready material as required. Such as mounting plates, glue pads etc. as well as the gathering said materials at press for next make-ready BEFORE the make-ready begins.
• Maintains press roller and cylinders in inventory by keeping new rollers in ready state behind assigned presses.
• Assures used rollers are reworked in a timely fashion.
• Maintains bearing inventories for all rollers used within the pressroom.
• Maintains plant cleanliness through assigned cleaning projects.
• Maintain the solvent, glue and oil areas in a safe an orderly fashion.
• Maintains all waste and oil products safely and in proper containment. Be sure all waste is packaged properly for pick up.
• Maintain an orderly clean and efficient space in the warehouse for which to inventory new and used consumables.
• Change glue totes when required.
• Help press crews in obtaining consumables when required.
• Actively engages in Pregis apprenticeship program to ensure continuous improvement of self and company.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
