Qualifications

• Must be willing to work flexible shifts.

• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Ability to communicate and work with others in a high-stress environment.
• Actively implement safety policies to maintain a safe workplace for all.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and prevent unsafe actions or behaviors.
• Perform daily equipment inspections.
• Excavate mainline trenches around utilities.
• Trench and set mainline trench boxes per OSHA standards.
• Understand and implement proper rigging for materials lowered into trenches.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;

• Operate all heavy equipment safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Excavate mainline trenches in and around utilities
• Trench and set mainline trench boxes in accordance to OSHA standards
• Understand and implement the proper rigging for all materials being lowered into the trench
• Job requires steady to intermittent physical activity including standing, stooping kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, shoveling, and raking
• Some physical labor is required
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications;

• Must be willing to work flexible shifts
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
• Valid driver's license but a CDL is a preferred
• Must pass a pre employment drug screening and background
• Ability to communicate and work with others in a high stress environment
