AlphaGov, a remote-first consultant for public EV charging and fleet electrification projects in the United States, seeks an experienced Utility Coordination Specialist. You will guide agencies through make-ready programs, interconnection timelines, and rate analysis to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating with utilities, engineers, and agency facilities teams, reviewing applications, and advising on timelines and costs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating utility service upgrades or interconnection for EV charging or similar loads.
• Working knowledge of make-ready programs, demand charges, and utility process timelines.
• Strong written coordination skills with utilities, engineers, and public-agency facilities teams.
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant, remote-first with occasional client or utility meetings.

• Coordinate with agency facilities, engineers, and utility account managers through design and energization.
• Document risks, dependencies, and decision points for project managers and elected briefings.
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming.

AlphaGov is engaging a Utility Coordination and Grid Interconnection Specialist for current public EV charging and fleet electrification work. You will guide agencies through utility make-ready programs, service upgrades, interconnection timelines, and rate analysis that keep charging projects on schedule. We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.
