Job summary

CobbFendley in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced Utility Coordination Deputy Project Manager to lead utility coordination efforts on complex projects. The role requires collaboration with engineers, surveyors, and other stakeholders to advance project milestones in a fast-paced environment.

The Deputy PM will oversee budgetary and scheduling tasks, coordinate with utility companies, and ensure adherence to QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AEC professional experience (Engineer, Surveyor, ROW, etc.).
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, lifecycle, standards, and regulatory rules; tools like Vantagepoint/Smartsheet/Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial aspects: budgets, invoicing coordination, and payments tracking.
• Support contract review processes and QA/QC compliance.
• Coordinate communications within the department and with external stakeholders.
• Adhere to project schedules, respond to questions, and manage client expectations.
• Provide staff feedback and assist with recruiting project team members.
• Support technical tasks: utility coordination, plan reviews, and schedule management.
