Job summary

CobbFendley Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility Coordination Project Manager for our Austin, Texas office. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and advanced coordination with utilities, agencies, and clients.

You will oversee financial discipline, contract compliance, and cross-disciplinary collaboration while guiding project teams toward timely, quality outcomes. Hybrid work schedule offered after training, with a focus on community engagement and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of AEC professional experience (Engineer, Surveyor, ROW, etc.).
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, lifecycle, industry standards, and applicable rules and regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, time, risk, quality and financial management, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Financial management: monitor budgets, review A/R, and prepare scope of work (SOW) and LOE.
• Corporate compliance and risk assessment: ensure contract reviews and filing, adherence to terms.
• Communication and collaboration: ensure clear messaging, timelines, and documentation across teams.
• Client and internal satisfaction: keep clients informed, address issues timely, support mitigation plans.
• People development: provide feedback, assist with recruiting, guide staff on project teams.
• Technical: identify utilities, coordinate with utility companies, prepare relocation plans, manage schedules, and assist with QA/QC.
