Qualifications

• Three years of similar or related work; plumbing experience preferred.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to perform strenuous tasks.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DOT Physical, respirator fit level 1, pre-assessment testing, regulatory safety training, traffic control/flagger training, Gas Fundamentals training, Abnormal Operating Condition Operator qualification training, soft-tissue injury prevention training, and helper-specific training programs.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving history per National Grid policy.
• Pass Field Assessment Test.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic control and flagging functions.
• Perform manual labor such as digging, backfilling, breaking and removing pavement (asphalt/concrete).
• Work with heavy pneumatic tools and provide physical assistance for underground tool setup and operation.
• Collaborate with higher-classified personnel on laboring tasks and perform other laboring duties as assigned.
• If hired, obtain and maintain a valid CDL license.
