Position Overview and Responsibilities

The Utility Cleaner ensures the cleanliness and hygiene of facilities through scheduled cleaning services, including waste removal, space cleaning, floor care, and maintaining restrooms, kitchens, and other areas. Compliance with safety and pathogen control standards is required.

Key Duties:

1. General Cleaning: Perform daily tasks, follow schedules, protect surfaces.
2. Waste Management: Empty containers, dispose of waste, ensure cleanliness.
3. Space and High/Low Area Cleaning: Clean assigned spaces, including high fixtures above 7 feet.
4. Kitchen and Restroom Sanitization: Clean, disinfect, stock supplies, and remove graffiti.
5. Floor and Window Care: Perform various floor cleaning techniques and clean windows and blinds.
6. Building Perimeter: Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas.

Qualifications and Experience

Must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in custodial work
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety regulations
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
• U.S. citizenship (per contract)

Preferred:

• TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain it

Physical and Working Conditions

Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces and at heights. Work may include evenings, weekends, or holidays, indoors and outdoors.
