Job summary
STV, Inc. is seeking a Utility CAD Technician for the Carolinas Utility Coordination Practice, based out of our Charleston, SC, and/or Columbia, SC offices. The role centers on modeling, drafting and coordination on transportation projects using Bentley software, with focus on SCDOT/NCDOT plan reading.
You will prepare drawings, plots and plan sets, review redlines, and collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and quality. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with SCDOT or NCDOT projects.
- Proficiency in Bentley software and plan reading.
- Experience with MicroStation and ProjectWise required; Geopak/ORD a plus.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
- Strong teamwork and ability to handle multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Modeling, estimating, and drafting using Bentley software on transportation projects.
- Prepare drawings, layouts, maps, and graphics for transportation projects and utility relocations.
- Assist other groups with design, modeling, estimating, and drafting as needed.
- Plot and format CAD drawings to client standards and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Address redlines, QC comments, and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with production team and monitor projects for design coordination issues.
