Job summary

STV is seeking a Utility CAD Technician in the Carolinas Utility Coordination Practice, based in Charleston, SC, and/or Columbia, SC. The role requires strong Bentley software skills and familiarity with SCDOT and NCDOT plan reading.

You will support multiple roadway and bridge projects under senior supervision. Candidate should have 5+ years of DOT project experience and be capable of working in a fast-paced team environment, collaborating with coordinators, PMs, and clients to advance projects

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Bentley software suite and familiarity with SCDOT/NCDOT plan reading.
• 5+ years of experience on SCDOT/NCDOT projects is required.
• Experience with Microstation and ProjectWise is required; Geopak/ORD are a plus.
• Ability to work in a group setting and monitor modeling standards and quality.

Responsibilities

• Modeling, estimating, and drafting using Bentley software on transportation projects.
• Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphics for transportation and utility relocations.
• Assist other groups with design, modeling, estimating, and drafting.
• Plot road/utility plan sets and format CAD drawings to client standards.
• Coordinate with utility coordinators, PMs, and clients on redlines and QC comments.
• Review CAD/models for design coordination issues and ensure standards compliance.
