Job summary

Pennoni in Columbia, MD is hiring an experienced CAD Technician on a full-time, direct basis as a Utility Designer. This role focuses on design and drafting for utility projects, supporting major clients such as BGE and Verizon, with indoor and outdoor field work.

You will perform design and drafting, collect field data, prepare construction blueprints, and help meet scheduling goals. The job requires a high school diploma and 3+ years of experience, plus a valid driver’s license and ability to

Qualifications

High School Diploma (or equivalent).
3+ years of professional experience working with Design and/or Drafting.
Possess a Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation.

Responsibilities

Perform design / CAD drafting work to assist with Engineering projects.
Assist with obtaining relevant field data & measurements.
Utilize relevant data when creating / adjusting workable construction blueprints.
Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.
Perform field work on an as-needed basis; indoors and outdoors.
Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
