Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities is seeking a dedicated Utility Buffet Server to help create joyful dining experiences for residents. You will greet guests, take accurate orders, and tailor portions to individual preferences in a collaborative, caring setting.

Work hours are evenings on weekdays with weekend needs. We value service, safety, and sanitation as we support a warm, resort-style dining environment for our residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hours: Monday–Friday 4:00pm–7:00pm; weekends as needed.
• Must communicate effectively in English with residents and staff.
• Able to obtain required food handler permits within two weeks of hire.
• No previous work experience required.
• State permits may be required depending on location; guidance provided at hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests, present menu options, take orders, and tailor portions.
• Maintain clean, safe dishware handling to prevent breakage.
• Keep the exhibition line attended and appealing during meal hours.
• Respond professionally to feedback and address concerns promptly.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including pizza ovens and sharp tools.
• Support the team with additional tasks from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
• Maintain sanitation standards in all food prep areas.

About The Role

As a Utility Buffet Server, you’ll do more than serve meals, you’ll create meaningful dining experiences that bring joy to our residents. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll share ideas, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and contribute to a positive, caring community environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older to use the pizza oven, meat slicer or knives.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 4:00pm-7:00pm. Weekends as needed.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two (2) weeks of hire.
• No previous work experience is required.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit before beginning employment. If this applies to you based on your age and state of residence, the Community Manager at the location where you are applying will provide guidance on the necessary steps. Any required work permit must be submitted to the Community at the time of hire to ensure compliance with state requirements.

• Protect quality and safety by maintaining cleanliness and handling dishware with care to prevent breakage.
• Ensure seamless service by keeping the exhibition line attended and visually appealing throughout meal hours.
• Engage with professionalism when responding to feedback, addressing concerns promptly, and escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and confidently, including pizza ovens and sharp tools, following all safety standards (must be at least 18 years of age or older).
• Contribute to team success by completing support work and additional tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
• Maintain strict sanitation standards in all food preparation and production areas.
