Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community in Marlborough, MA seeks a Utility Buffet Server to help create welcoming dining experiences for residents. You’ll work with the culinary team to present menu options, take orders, maintain cleanliness, and handle kitchen equipment safely during dinner service.

No prior experience required; 18+; you’ll communicate in English with residents and staff. Part-time evening shifts 5:00pm–7:00pm, Monday–Friday, with Pay on demand and employee discounts as perks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to work the pizza oven, meat slicer, or knives.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 5:00pm-7:00pm.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits within two weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming dining experience by greeting residents and guests, presenting menu options, taking accurate orders, and tailoring portion sizes to preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and handle dishware to protect quality and safety.
• Keep the exhibition line attended and visually appealing during meal hours for seamless service.
• Respond professionally to feedback, address concerns, and escalate issues as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including pizza ovens and sharp tools, following safety standards.
• Complete support tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef to help team success.
• Maintain strict sanitation standards in all food preparation and production areas.

About The Role

As a Utility Buffet Server, you’ll do more than serve meals, you’ll create meaningful dining experiences that bring joy to our residents. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll share ideas, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and contribute to a positive, caring community environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older to use the pizza oven, meat slicer or knives.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 5:00pm-7:00pm.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two (2) weeks of hire.
• No previous work experience is required.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit before beginning employment. If this applies to you based on your age and state of residence, the Community Manager at the location where you are applying will provide guidance on the necessary steps. Any required work permit must be submitted to the Community at the time of hire to ensure compliance with state requirements.
