Job summary

City of Grapevine is seeking an experienced Utility Billing Supervisor to manage invoicing, collections, and record-keeping for water, sewer, trash, and storm-water services. You will oversee meter readings, payments, turn-ons/offs, reconciliations to the General Ledger, and customer information accuracy.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in accounting or related field plus three years of utility customer service experience, and at least two years of direct supervisory work.

Qualifications

• Must pass background checks and license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees preparation of utility bills for water, sewer, trash, and storm-water.
• Records, posts payment receipts and prepares journal entries.
• Supervises staff and directs daily activities; evaluates performance.
• Reconciles utility billings to the General Ledger monthly.
• Responds to customer inquiries and resolves complaints in a professional manner.
• Assists with development of ACFR schedules and audit readiness.
