Job summary

VMC Group and Companies is seeking a warehouse associate to join our production team in New Jersey. You will receive instructions from leads, operate under supervision, and support multiple departments including packing tasks while using drills and grinders as needed.

Flexibility to assist other departments is required. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 5 years of warehouse experience, familiarity with power and hand tools, and experience with inspection equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Familiar with power tools and hand tools.
• Experience with standard inspection equipment.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.

Utility B must be able to satisfactorily perform the following essential job responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities not limited to

• Receives instructions from Leads
• Operates under supervision
• Support for different departments, clicking, tapping, trimming, and packing
• Operate drill presses and grinders
• Assist with other departments as necessary

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to work with a variety of warehouse/manufacturing tools
• Basic math knowledge which includes the use of measuring tools
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and work independently

Working Conditions

• Able to push, carry, lift, and move materials up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work while walking/standing for extended periods of time
• Able to walk across a production facility.

Work Environment

• Typical production environment.
• Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment
