Job summary

CRH is seeking a Utility Worker to join their team in Colfax, North Carolina. The Utility Worker will oversee assigned lines, inspect and ensure quality of PVC pipe products while operating necessary equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 75 lbs, and communicate effectively with team members. CRH offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Accurately inspects pipe with inspection tools.
• Identifies non-conforming products and escalates issues.
• Stacks and bands pallets properly.
• Follows scrap pipe procedures.
• Assists Extruder Operators during operations.
• Maintains a clean work area.

Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker oversees assigned lines, minimizes rejects by checking pipe during and after the finishing process, and runs any necessary equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately inspects pipe with inspection tools
• Demonstrates ability to identify when the product doesn't meet specification and standards, and escalation scale
• Properly stack and band pallets
• Follow scrap pipe procedure
• Assists Extruder Operators during start-up/shutdown operations
• Keeps area clean at all times
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
