Job summary

Oakworks, Inc. in New Freedom, PA is seeking an entry-level Utility Assembler to build metal, fabric, and wooden components for medical and spa products.

You will work on the 2nd shift (2:00pm–12:30am) in a four-day workweek, with a strong emphasis on learning and cross-training across production areas. The role targets a high school graduate with 2+ years of assembly experience, ideally in regulated industries or medical product development.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in electrical or mechanical assembly preferred.
• Medical product development or other regulated assembly industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal, fabric, or wooden components for medical and spa products.
• Work on the 2nd shift from 2:00pm to 12:30am and enjoy a 4-day workweek.

Utility Assembler’s can work in multiple areas on our production floor by producing and assembling metal, fabric, or wooden components for our medical and spa products. This position requires a strong aptitude for learning and a positive attitude!

The Utility Assembler position promotes cross training opportunities to help you advance your career at Oakworks. The more areas employees train in, their pay rate increases!

Starting at $22.50/hour

• Train in 3 areas- receive $1.00/ hour increase
• Train in 5 areas- receive an additional $.50/hour
• Train in 8 areas- receive an additional $.50/hour

Qualifications

Education: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 2+ years experience in electrical or mechanical assembly preferred. Medical product development or other regulated assembly industry experience is preferred.

• Must be able to demonstrate mechanical ability (Read Drawings, Assemble Electrical & Mechanical Components, and Validate Quality)
• Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes with machining and fabricating experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate and work with multiple departments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit/walk/stand for extended periods of time on a daily basis
• Ability to lift/reach/bend/stretch in manufacturing environment
• Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time on a daily basis
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
