Job summary

Oakworks, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Utility Assembler to join our New Freedom, PA production team. The role involves assembling metal, fabric, or wooden components for medical and spa products in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Starting at $19.50/hour with a 4‑day workweek (Mon–Thu, 10 hours per day), employees may rotate across areas to boost skills and increase pay. Benefits include medical, dental, 401(k) match, vision, disability and life insurance, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in electrical or mechanical assembly preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and assemble electrical & mechanical components; validate quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal, fabric, or wooden components for medical and spa products on the production floor.
• Work across multiple areas on the production line and participate in cross-training programs.
• Utilize cross-training opportunities to advance your pay rate as you gain skills.

Utility Assembler’s can work in multiple areas on our production floor by producing and assembling metal, fabric, or wooden components for our medical and spa products. This position requires a strong aptitude for learning and a positive attitude!

The Utility Assembler position promotes cross training opportunities to help you advance your career at Oakworks. The more areas employees train in, their pay rate increases!

• Train in 3 areas- receive $1.00/ hour increase
• Train in 5 areas- receive an additional $.50/hour
• Train in 8 areas- receive an additional $.50/hour

QualificationsQualifications:

Education: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 2+ years experience in electrical or mechanical assembly preferred. Medical product development or other regulated assembly industry experience is preferred.

• Must be able to demonstrate mechanical ability (Read Drawings, Assemble Electrical & Mechanical Components, and Validate Quality)
• Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes with machining and fabricating experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate and work with multiple departments.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit/walk/stand for extended periods of time on a daily basis
• Ability to lift/reach/bend/stretch in manufacturing environment
• Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time on a daily basis
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
