Job summary

The City of Nixa is hiring for a position overseeing the tree program within the Electric Department. You will manage and participate in the safe removal of limbs and trees in relation to the City’s electrical distribution system. This role entails supervising both City crews and contractors.

A minimum of five years of supervisory experience and a High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. Certification through International Society of Arboriculture and a valid Class B Driver’s license are also essential.

• Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Valid State of Missouri Class B Commercial Driver's license required.

Certification

Valid State of Missouri Class “B” Commercial Driver’s license; possess and maintain International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist certification; Valid Missouri certification for the application of Right of Way (ROW) herbicides preferred but not required. ISA Utility Specialist Certification-required ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment. TRAQ Qualification (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) Ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment.

Salary

$30.67 per hour
