Utility 2 (Prep/Cook) - 2nd Shift 1:30pm - 10:00pm M-F

Plant Overview

• 3-Shift Operation
• Non-Union Facility with approximately 200 hourly staff members, a mix of temporary and full-time associates.
• Production includes 4 bag soup lines, 1 tub line, 18 Kettles, 5 Filling lines, and 4 packaging lines, producing Frozen Soups and Macaroni & Cheese.

Job Overview

Join a team producing quality products among over 50 household brands. We seek skilled operators capable of working in multiple positions, with knowledge of bag prep, spice, cook, blanch, equipment, safety, and quality regulations. Leadership abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform assigned tasks within the department.
• Understand and execute CIL, CL, 5S, problem solving, and Oscar system procedures.
• Lead by example in problem solving.
• Escalate production issues and address performance gaps.
• Improve technical skills via the Step Up Card system.
• Ensure team coordination and minimize errors.
• Coordinate workflow with other departments.
• Accurately complete IQS documentation.
• Verify quality standards are met.
• Participate in DDS meetings.
• Monitor run rates to meet targets.
• Execute operational systems (OSCAR, DDS, CIL, CL).
• Assist in department operations, training, and organization.
• Participate in root cause analysis and waste reduction.
• Contribute to audits and procedural improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
