Job summary

SSP America is seeking a Utility/Dishwasher Worker to help keep our restaurants clean and sanitized for guests and team members. You will create a positive guest experience by maintaining hygienic work areas and cleaning all surfaces and equipment.

The job involves table clearing, dishwashing (hand wash or dishwasher), and assisting with stock and supply movement. The role requires 18+ years old, 6 months in retail/food service, and English proficiency. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in retail or food service.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
• Experience in dealing with problems involving guest service.
• Food handlers permit, as required by law.
• Brand certification, as required.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (floors, ceiling tiles, walls, etc.).
• Remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables between seatings and transport service-ware to the kitchen.
• Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash by hand or in dishwasher.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may use heavy equipment.
• Assist guests with requests and communicate needs to server/supervisor.
• Load/unload supply trucks between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our Utility/Dishwasher positions at SSP have the very important role of keeping our restaurants and units clean and sanitized for both our guests and our team

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Utility/Dishwasher Worker

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas
• Maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment (i.e., floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas, etc.)
• Removes refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings, as needed and transports service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash them by hand or load dishwasher and return them to their proper storage place.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment
• Assist all guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to server/supervisor
• Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items
• Other duties as assigned.
