Job summary

Canfor is hiring for a Bag and Tag role in the United States. The position involves preparing lumber packs for shipment, wrapping and tagging according to specifications, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

The role requires physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in variable weather conditions. Work rotates two weeks on nights and two weeks on days, with ongoing recruitment across locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Bag and Tag include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Pulling lumber packs that are getting ready for shipment
• Covering the outside of the packs with the wrapping to protect against the elements.
• Using a stapler to secure tags and wrapping
• Stapling the end tags to the lumber pieces displaying the appropriate specifications.

• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling (On an as needed basis)
• Lifting and/or moving from 5 to 30 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and lifting and/or moving from 5 to 50 lbs., as needed

• Outside weather conditions
• Vibration
