Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is seeking a Utility Worker for an on-site role in Montpelier, OH. You will support material flow through receiving, storage, and internal logistics, collaborating with production to maintain optimal OEE.

The position includes forklift operation and potential breaks coverage on the operator line. The starting pay is $25.25 per hour with a Mon–Thu 6a–4p schedule and weekly pay. Company benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to become forklift certified if not already.
• Strong organizational skills, computer literacy, and initiative.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move materials safely.
• Organize storage locations and maintain efficient storage systems.
• Clean forged parts using the Pangborn process to prep for WIP.
• Identify WIP and finished product with labels using WFS.
• Occasionally support production equipment when needed.
• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities and inspect incoming materials.
• Support continuous improvement to boost inventory flow and 5S.

Wieland is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker will be responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials through the manufacturing process by managing receiving, storage, and handling internal logistics. The Utility will work closely with production to ensure optimal OEE is met by providing and removing materials in a timely manner. The Utility can also fill in as an operatorduring needed times. This role is located in Montpelier, OHand will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $25.25

Schedule: Mon-Thurs: 6a - 4p

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Utility Worker Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods within the facility safely and efficiently
• Organize and maintain storage locations for raw materials, tooling, and finished goods, contributing to the setup of a scalable and efficient material storage system
• Cleaning Forged Parts through our pangborn process to prepare them for WIP
• Identifying WIP and finished product by creating and applying labels for our product using WFS
• Operating production equipment on occasions to fill in for an operator for breaks or in the case of a call in. This is on an as needed basis only
• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including preparing and loading trucks, and inspecting incoming materials for accuracy and damage
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with operations leadership to improve inventory flow, reduce waste, and support 5S implementation

Utility Worker Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness and ability to become forklift certified (if not already)
• Organizational skills, computer literacy and self-initiative in a growing environment with evolving processes
• Ability to safetly lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Experience in manufacturting or warehouse environment
