Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc is hiring a Utility Worker in Montpelier, OH. The role supports material flow in manufacturing, handling receiving, storage, and internal logistics on-site. Starting pay is $25.25 per hour with a Mon-Thurs 6a–4p schedule and weekly pay.

The position may involve operating forklifts, coordinating shipping/receiving, and assisting in production as needed to keep OEE high. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are highlighted in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness and ability to become forklift certified (if not already).
• Organizational skills, computer literacy and self-initiative in a growing environment with evolving processes.
• Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods within the facility safely and efficiently.
• Organize and maintain storage locations for raw materials, tooling, and finished goods, contributing to the setup of a scalable and efficient material storage system.
• Clean Forged Parts through the Pangborn process to prepare them for WIP.
• Identify WIP and finished product by creating and applying labels for our product using WFS.
• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including preparing and loading trucks, and inspecting incoming materials for accuracy and damage.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with operations leadership to improve inventory flow, reduce waste, and support 5S implementation.

Wieland is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker will be responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials through the manufacturing process by managing receiving, storage, and handling internal logistics. The Utility will work closely with production to ensure optimal OEE is met by providing and removing materials in a timely manner. The Utility can also fill in as an operatorduring needed times. This role is located in Montpelier, OHand will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $25.25

Schedule: Mon-Thurs: 6a - 4p

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Utility Worker Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods within the facility safely and efficiently
• Organize and maintain storage locations for raw materials, tooling, and finished goods, contributing to the setup of a scalable and efficient material storage system
• Cleaning Forged Parts through our pangborn process to prepare them for WIP

• Operating production equipment on occasions to fill in for an operator for breaks or in the case of a call in. This is on an as needed basis only
• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including preparing and loading trucks, and inspecting incoming materials for accuracy and damage
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with operations leadership to improve inventory flow, reduce waste, and support 5S implementation

Utility Worker Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
