Job summary

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from Michigan and a clean five-year driving record.
• Must hold a Temporary Instruction Permit for a Commercial Driver License or CDL B with airbrake and passenger endorsements.
• Within 90 days of hire, obtain Class B CDL with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements.
• Some bus driving experience is preferred.
• Must pass a physical examination and drug screen.
• Must obtain Industrial Forklift permit within 90 days.

The Utility position is responsible for daily service, fueling, and cleaning of CATA vehicles, fare collection, and cleaning garage and storage areas.

• Clean garage and storage areas.
• Properly maintain fluid levels on all vehicles.
• Perform bus changes (non-safety related) and errands.

• The successful candidate must possess a Temporary Instruction Permit for a Commercial Driver License or possess a CDL B with airbrake and passenger endorsements.
• The successful candidate must obtain their Class B Commercial Driver License with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements within 90 days of hire.
• Some experience in driving buses is preferred.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination and drug screen.
• The successful applicant must be able to obtain an Industrial Forklift permit within 90 days of employment.
