Job summary

CrossFire Group is seeking a Kitchen Utility Worker to support hospital kitchen operations by keeping areas clean, sanitary, and organized. This role helps ensure a safe, efficient environment that supports patient meals and staff dining services.

Responsibilities include dish sanitation, equipment upkeep, basic food prep, and safe transport of carts and supplies. A high school diploma is preferred; prior food service is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, trays, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, floors, and storage areas.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as assigned, including portioning and basic prep.
• Transport food carts, supplies, and waste safely throughout the facility.
• Dispose of trash and recycling according to hospital and safety guidelines.
• Follow all infection control, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to hospital policies, OSHA regulations, and HACCP guidelines.
• Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or sanitation concerns promptly.
• Support kitchen staff during peak service times as needed.
