Job summary

Manus in Augusta, GA seeks a Utilities-Waste operator to join the manufacturing and process development team. The role focuses on regulating waste flow, monitoring conditions, and maintaining logs as part of daily site operations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, manufacturing experience, basic PC skills, and the ability to work twelve-hour rotating shifts with safety and environmental responsibility in mind.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Some knowledge of utilities and/or waste treatment equipment helpful.
• Follow minimal instructions and work safely.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; flexible in a startup environment.
• Familiar with production fermentation/downstream processes and lab procedures.
• Basic PC skills including Windows.

Responsibilities

• Monitors control panels and adjusts valves/gates to regulate waste flow.
• Observes operating conditions and interprets readings to determine adjustments.
• Maintains logs and records meter readings; transfers from sump to POTW after approval.
• Inspects stormwater basins and coordinates discharges under supervision.
• Collects waste samples periodically and reports variations.
• Performs weekly/monthly safety equipment inspections and follow-ups.
• Operates power generation equipment to provide site steam and maintains plant utilities.
• Coordinates maintenance activities and processes work orders.
