Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Utility Technician in Idaho to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on process refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, and compressed air equipment. You will operate boilers, ammonia compressors, condensers, and supporting systems while adhering to PSM guidelines to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining refrigeration and boiler systems, testing for leaks, wiring components, and keeping detailed maintenance records.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Maintain steam supply systems including valves, heat exchangers, and condensate traps.
• Maintain and operate high pressure boilers and feed water.
• Service traps and water feed for boilers and heat exchangers.
• Dismantle and repair malfunctioning boiler components and test systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate ammonia compressors, condensers, fans, pumps, evaporators, and heat exchangers.
• Follow safety practices for ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment.
• Install, repair, tear down, and rebuild system components in refrigeration and heating systems.
• Evacuate ammonia refrigeration systems as needed.
• Test lines and components for leaks using gauges and instruments.
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components with testing equipment.
• Adjust valves and charge the system with proper refrigerant.
• Install wiring to power components and connect to electric supply.
• Perform mechanical overhauls and pipework.
