Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Utility Technician in Idaho to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on Process Refrigeration, HVAC, Boilers, and Compressed Air equipment. The role involves operating boilers and ammonia systems and supporting the PSM program within the facility.

Responsibilities include maintaining ammonia compressors, condensers, and related equipment, following safety practices, and testing for leaks while documenting repairs and communicating across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Maintain steam supply system including valves, heat exchangers, and condensate traps.
• Maintain and operate high pressure boilers and feed water.
• Service traps and water feed for boilers and heat exchangers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate ammonia compressors, condensers, fans, pumps, evaporators, plate and shell/tube heat exchangers.
• Operate boilers and associated equipment including ammonia compressors and air compressors.
• Follow safety practices for ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment.
• Install, repair, and overhaul refrigeration and heating system components.
• Test lines and components for leaks; adjust valves and recharge with refrigerant as specified.
• Document repairs and communicate across shifts using SOPs and logbooks.
• Operate and maintain an Energy Management System and understand Process Safety Management requirements.
