ORC is seeking an Administrative Office role in Fort Worth, TX, offering hybrid work with the Fort Worth office three times per week. The position handles right of way documents, project files, and administrative support under the supervision of the Austin DeGuire reporting line.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and quality-check right of way documents for utility projects.
  • Maintain accurate project files, databases, and document tracking systems.
  • Coordinate document execution, notarization, and recording with county offices.
  • Track documents from draft through recording and keep project teams informed of status.
  • Support Agents and the Project Manager with document requests and reporting.
  • Perform general administrative tasks that keep projects moving.

Schedule: Full-Time, Non-Exempt | Report to ORC's Fort Worth, TX office 3 times per week

Location: Fort Worth, TX (candidate will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule but must reside within a 25-mile radius of ORC's Fort Worth, TX office)

  • Prepare, review, and quality-check right of way documents — easements, agreements, and related real estate instruments — for utility projects
  • Maintain accurate project files, databases, and document tracking systems
  • Coordinate document execution, notarization, and recording with county offices

  • Utilities Document Specialist 1 — $22– $26/hr | Minimum of [1] year of relevant experience
    • Must include right of way and/or real estate experience
  • Utilities Document Specialist 2 — $25– $29/hr | Minimum of [3] years of relevant experience
    • Must include right of way and/or real estate experience
  • Utilities Document Specialist 3 — $28– $33/hr | Minimum of [5] years of relevant experience

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, it requires a combination of office-based and field work. Employees will spend prolonged periods sitting and performing computer-based tasks, including typing, data entry, and virtual communication, while also regularly traveling to landowner properties, project sites, and government facilities, some of which may be in rural or remote locations with limited accessibility. Driving is an essential function of the role and may involve extended periods and long-distance travel. Fieldwork may require walking over uneven terrain, standing, or navigating outdoor environments, with routine exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow. The role also involves frequent interaction with a diverse range of individuals, including landowners, government officials, and members of the public, requiring the ability to communicate effectively and maintain professionalism across differing personalities and potentially challenging situations. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to accommodate travel, site access, and stakeholder availability, along with adherence to safety protocols in both office and field settings.
