Job summary

OHM Advisors is seeking a Utilities Project Administrator in Ohio to support engineering and survey teams by coordinating utility infrastructure tasks from inception to completion.

You will liaise with energy-sector clients, identify conflicts, and help prepare utility permits. Opportunities exist to engage in CAD/GIS work and site visits, contributing to efficient project delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Surveying, or related field preferred.
• Strong reading of engineering plans and maps required.
• Experience coordinating utilities and reading utility maps is essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; CAD/GIS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify existing underground and overhead utility infrastructure for project sites.
• Serve as liaison between project teams and energy sector clients.
• Identify potential utility conflicts and coordinate solutions or reroutes.
• Assist with preparation and submission of utility permits.
• Maintain records of contacts, correspondence, and agreements.
• Coordinate utility location activities with subcontractors and project teams.
• Track budgets, schedules, and invoices; travel to project sites as needed.
• Assist with basic CAD or GIS tasks for mapping utility info.

What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors

As a UtilitiesProject Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering andsurveyteams byadministering projects forour energy sector clients frominceptionto completion. Your work willcontribute directlyto the smooth execution and successful completion of our projects, ensuring essential services aremaintainedand integrated effectively.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research toidentifyexisting underground and overhead utility infrastructure (water, sewer, gas, electric, telecommunications, fiber optics, etc.) for various project sites.
• Act as the primary liaison between OHM Advisors' project teams andour energy sector clients.
• Identifypotential utility conflicts with proposed designs andfacilitatecommunication and coordination to develop solutions, reroutes, or protection plans(conflict analysis).
• Assistproject managers and engineers with the preparation and submission of utility-related permit applications to relevant agencies and utility owners.
• Maintainaccurateand up-to-date records of all utility contacts, correspondence, agreements, and conflict resolutions.
• Coordinate utilitylocatedwith subcontractors.
• Trackbudgets, schedules, and invoices toclientsand subcontractors.
• May involve occasional site visits to verify utility locations orobserveongoing utility work.
• Potentiallyassistwith basic CAD or GIS tasks related to mapping andrepresentingutility information on project plans.
• Work closely with civil engineers, transportation engineers, land surveyors, project managers, and other team members to integrate utility considerations into design and construction plans.

• Associate'sorBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Surveying, orrelatedfield preferred.
• 3years of experience in utility coordination, construction, land surveying, or a related field, with a strong understanding of utility infrastructure.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering plans, surveys, and utility maps.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with AutoCAD or GIS software is a plus.
• Knowledge ofOhioutility companies,permittingprocesses, and regulations is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
