City of Odessa is seeking a maintenance worker to perform tasks at the Bob Derrington Plant, Water Reclamation Plant and offsite facilities. The role involves operating a variety of equipment, following safety procedures, and assisting plant staff.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and a willingness to learn. A Texas state driver’s license is required for position duties.

Reports to: Field Supervisor
Under basic supervision, performs maintenance tasks on buildings and grounds at the Bob Derrington Plant, Water Reclamation Plant and other associated offsite facilities; operates a variety of vehicles, equipment, and tools for the Utilities Department in compliance with all safety regulations and standard procedures

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED preferred. One year of general maintenance work experience highly desired but not required.
Work is performed indoors, outdoors and at City facilities; may be exposed to safety hazards and dangerous tools and equipment; safety precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment. City approved safety shoes must be worn.
A Texas State Driver's License is required.
