Job summary

Pilgrim's in North Carolina is seeking a weekend Utility Worker to support daily hatchery operations, sanitation, and basic equipment upkeep.

You will lift and move materials, assist with maintenance, and follow strict safety and biosecurity protocols. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability on weekend shifts, and adherence to company safety standards.

Utility Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Complete general in-and-out tasks throughout the facility to support daily operations
• Assist with routine sanitation to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform small maintenance tasks and basic equipment upkeep
• Monitor and maintain operational equipment to ensure functionality
• Support Embrex operations when needed
• Follow all safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity protocols
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Any additional tasks assigned by management

Work Environment

This role operates within a hatchery environment requiring adherence to strict sanitation, safety, and biosecurity standards. Tasks may involve standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and working around equipment and livestock for extended periods.

Work Schedule

• Wednesday:5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Friday:3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• Saturday:1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Sunday:10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Note: Hours may occasionally extend or adjust based on production needs.
