An established industry player is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to join their Utility Department at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. This role involves performing essential repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, and building components. PCSI is looking for a General Maintenance Worker in our Utility Dept. on Ft. Knox, Kentucky! You will perform receiving functions of the contract by making minor adjustments and repairs to plumbing, electrical, waste systems, architectural and structural building components, doors, windows, door systems, light carpentry, roof systems and Wash Rack Responsibilities. This position will report to the Mechanical & Utility Supervisor and is based out of Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 am- 3:30 pm.

What You'll Do as General Maintenance Worker:
•Minor adjustments and repairs to plumbing, electrical, waste systems, architectural and structural building components, doors, windows, door systems, light carpentry, and roof systems.
•Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures, unclog drains and sewers.
•Perform maintenance to water heaters, sump pumps, backflow preventers, and water softeners.
•Perform maintenance on above ground and underground tanks.
•Perform maintenance on chemical injector pumps.
•Perform maintenance on sprinkler systems.
•Perform maintenance on dining facility commercial appliances.
•Perform maintenance on building generators.
•Perform preventative maintenance functions and minor repairs to plumbing, including changing filters.
•Ensure all paperwork is completed.

Work involves a variety of the following duties:
•Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers and toilets.
•Painting structures and equipment
•Repairing or replacing concrete floors.
•Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED.
•Must have at least six (6) months of experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb ladders. Frequently required to kneel, squat, bend, and reach.
•Required to be able to lift 50lbs up to 10 times per day.
•Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
•Knowledge of all maintenance trades in a maintenance environment (prior government contractor experience preferred).
•Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installation, maintenance and repair.
•Must have the ability to successfully complete all applicable training modules assigned.
•Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
Other Requirements:
•Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
•Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
•Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
•Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
•If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
