Job Overview

PCSI is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for our Structures Department at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Responsibilities include performing minor adjustments and repairs to plumbing, electrical, waste systems, architectural and structural components, doors, windows, floor systems, light carpentry, and roof systems. The role also involves preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.

Work Details

• Report to the Structures supervisor.
• Based in Ft. Knox, Kentucky.
• Typical hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to various building systems and components.
• Maintain mechanical rooms and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Manufacture, repair, and install screens and glass.
• Maintain signage, including inspections, replacements, and painting.
• Complete all required paperwork.

Additional Duties

• Electrical repairs, wall patching, plumbing repairs, painting, flooring installation, framing, masonry, drywall installation, furnishings setup, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months of relevant experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, squat, and reach regularly.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times daily.
• Proficiency with maintenance trades, hand tools, and power tools.
• Effective communication skills in English.

Other Requirements

• Pass criminal, drug, and driving screenings.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access if required.
