Job summary

Elsdon Group in Columbia, SC is seeking an experienced Foreman to supervise field crews on industrial piping, utilities, grading and site development projects. You will oversee day‑to‑day field activities, coordinate manpower, materials and equipment, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The role calls for strong leadership, planning and communication with Project Managers and subcontractors, plus a solid understanding of plans and OSHA safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Foreman or similar field leadership role.
• Experience with industrial piping, utilities, grading or site development.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment and jobsite safety.
• Proven ability to lead and manage field crews.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with Project Managers, Superintendents and subcontractors.
• OSHA experience/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are working with an established construction company based in Columbia, SC, specializing in industrial piping, underground utilities, grading and large-scale site development.

They are looking to add an experienced Foreman to their team to oversee field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Role

As a Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising crews and coordinating day-to-day field activities across industrial and utility projects.
