Job summary

El Super is seeking a Utilities Clerk at #19 Phoenix - W. Thomas to support the Produce Department and assist customers on the store floor. This position offers strong teamwork, physical tasks, and a quick pace typical of a grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department and assist customers on the store floor as needed.
• Bag groceries for customers and carry out groceries when requested.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; retrieve store carts and remove waste from the parking area.
• Run price checks, assist with go-backs, and support check stand upkeep.
