Job summary

El Super in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Utilities Clerk (ages 16-17) to support daily store operations. The starting rate is $16.90 per hour, reflecting entry‑level duties in a fast‑paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries for customers when needed and carry out groceries for customers upon request.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety at all times.
• Maintain and retrieve store carts, run price checks, assist with go‑backs, and assist with check stand upkeep.
• Remove waste from the parking area and support fast‑paced store operations.
