Job summary

The State of Washington’s Employment Security Department seeks an UTAB Application Developer – Journey to design, configure, and develop UTAB components and GenTax interfaces. The role emphasizes hands-on coding in C#, VB.NET, and SQL within enterprise-grade processes and standards.

Telework is available, with occasional office visits to Olympia. The ideal candidate translates business needs into technical solutions, reviews requirements, and creates prototypes while maintaining documentation

Qualifications

6 years of IT experience developing systems using service-oriented design and development (C#, VB.Net, SQL).
Associate's degree in computer science or closely related field with 4 years of IT experience in SOA development.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field with 2 years of IT experience in SOA development.
4 years of experience in full SDLC activities and testing.

Responsibilities

Configure GenTax components and design/develop code for UTAB and related interfaces.
Review change requests and identify features/configs to satisfy business needs; prototype changes.
Perform code reviews, test/config changes, and ensure production promotion.
Gather and define requirements; facilitate sessions and demonstrate prototypes.
