Carnegie Hall Ushers are part of a dedicated team providing world-class customer service and support throughout a performance. Reporting to the Front-of-House Manager, we are seeking proactive and enthusiastic individuals to represent Carnegie Hall by ensuring an extraordinary experience with dedicated assistance and by minimizing disturbances.
Upon hire, successful candidates will be scheduled to support the daily front-of-house team for four (4) shifts per week, based on Carnegie Hall’s production schedule. At least one of these days must be a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The opportunity to work additional days will be made available on an as needed basis. All shifts are paid four (4) hours minimum and require staff to work overtime as needed.
Throughout each shift, Ushers must be properly attired in Carnegie Hall-issued uniforms and maintain high standards of hygiene and personal appearance due to their frequent interaction with visitors, artists, and staff. Ushers also receive training in guiding guests to safety in times of emergencies. This is a union position in agreement between Carnegie Hall and SEIU-32bj.
