Job summary

Fidelity TalentSource seeks a User Researcher to inform product decisions for Fidelity Investments. You will partner with Product, Design, and Technology to define research priorities and translate findings into strategic insights that shape roadmaps.

In Enterprise Technology, you will engage stakeholders daily, scope studies, and synthesize data to guide design direction and product decisions. You will advance UX research practices in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of UX research or related experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Human Factors, HCI, User Experience, Psychology or related field, or equivalent education.
• Experience with user-centered design research methodologies (Design Thinking, Lean UX).
• Experience with large enterprise applications or employee experiences preferred.
• Experience with agile teams preferred.
• Familiarity with customer support or back-office populations preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of digital accessibility desired.

Fidelity Investments is seeking a User Experience Researcher who is passionate about their craft and improving associate experiences. As a member of Enterprise Technology’s User Experience team, your research will inform product decisions that impact thousands of employees worldwide. You will partner with Product, Design, and Technology stakeholders to define research priorities, conduct studies, and translate findings into insights and recommendations that build product strategy and roadmaps.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for an area of focus in which you identify and prioritize the research that will most effectively drive user and business outcomes
• Engage daily with Product, Design, and Technology stakeholders to understand priorities and key initiatives
• Scope qualitative and quantitative research studies with stakeholders to define objectives, research questions, constraints, and most efficient/effective approach
• Complete project work independently
• Synthesize behavioral and attitudinal data from web analytics, user research and feedback forums to provide strategic and project level insight
• Share actionable recommendations with stakeholders and executives to inform design direction and product strategy
• Work closely with UX designers and fellow researchers to provide research expertise and support during workshops and ongoing UX activities
• Supply to improving UX Research practices and processes

Experience

• 8+ years of UX research or related experience
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience, Psychology or related field, or equivalent education and related training / certification
• Experience with user-centered design research methodologies and rapid conceptualization processes such as Design Thinking and Lean UX
• Experience working on large enterprise applications or employee experiences preferred
• Experience working with agile teams preferred
• Familiarity with customer support or back-office operations populations preferred
• Foundational knowledge of digital accessibility desired

Skills

• Expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiry, task analysis, heuristic evaluation, and card sorting
• Ability to develop and evolve user models such as personas, journeys, Jobs-To-Be-Done, and customer segments
• Ability to scope, implement, and deliver research quickly and independently
• Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear themes, insights, and actionable recommendations
• Ability to connect research findings to user needs, business problems, design direction, and product decisions
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills across Product, Design, Technology, and executive audiences
• Curiosity and interpersonal skill to uncover stakeholder needs, influence decisions, and build trust
• Adaptability and thought leadership to challenge assumptions, explore new approaches, and advance UX Research practices
