Salary/Pay Rate: $81.20 to $90.23 an hour

Hours: Full-time

Duration: 6 months

About our client's team:

We follow a simple but vital premise in the User Experience group: "Focus on the user and all else will follow." We're passionately interested in our users and strive to learn everything we can about their goals and needs, attitudes and emotions to help define the products and experiences we create. The User Experience team is a critical driving force behind gathering these insights and then using them to inspire and inform design. We are a multi-disciplinary team of interaction designers, visual designers, user researchers, copywriters and web developers who collaborate closely with each other and with Engineering and Product Management to create innovative, and usable, products that people love to use.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a lead for a vertical area in the Ads department
  • Administer questionnaires and surveys
  • Assist other user researchers with various user research preparation activities
  • Literature reviews
  • Liaise with participant recruiting teams and participant onboarding
  • Note taking and data capture
  • Highlight-video creation
  • Data analysis/synthesis
  • Draft findings, recommendations, and reports based on user research
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations.
  • Work with content at many levels (style guides, templates, analytics). Partner with Product, Program Management, UX, UXR, engineering, support operations, legal, PR, and other editorial groups to ensure content consistency and transparency.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Use a range of mixed research methods for data analysis/synthesis (Interviews, Lab studies, unmoderated studies, surveys)
  • Generate clear and concise findings reports with actionable recommendations for stakeholders
  • Meet with cross-functional stakeholders, identify needs for research in addition to sharing learnings and insights.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience leading strategic research efforts and integrating user research into product designs and design practices
  • Demonstrated ability to choose the best research methods and frameworks that will be persuasive to a range of stakeholders
  • Experience measuring satisfaction with products and services for product teams
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated and deep experience moderating and interacting with research participants through a wide variety of methods including interviews, surveys, field studies, lab studies, usability evaluations, etc.
  • Passionate, high attention to detail, innovative, creative, and team focused.

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience doing primary research with Advertisers and Small Businesses

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $81.20 to $90.23 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
