Job summary

Google in Mountain View, CA is seeking a User Experience Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will bridge UX design and production, building front-end features for real products while collaborating with UX designers, researchers, and engineers.

Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, HCI, Design, or related fields; strong UI design and frontend coding skills (React, TypeScript, Go, Python, etc.) are preferred.

• Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces (UIs).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with UX designers, project managers and back-end engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions to web development issues.

• Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies.

Participation in the internship program requires that you are located in the United States for the duration of the internship program.

This internship is intended for students who are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree program in Computer Science, HCI, Design or related technical field.

In accordance with Washington state law, we are highlighting our comprehensive benefits package, which is available to all eligible US based Interns. Benefits for this role include:

• Sick Time: 40 hours/year (increased to 69 hours/year for Seattle) including 5 discretionary sick days per instance
• Holidays: 13 paid days per year

• Experience in development or prototyping.
• Experience coding in Go, Python, C++, Java, Kotlin, Objective C, Swift, or similar.
