Job summary

Bob Penkhus Automotive Group is seeking a Recon Tech to inspect used vehicles, perform diagnostics, and provide estimates. The role requires experience as a service technician, broad knowledge of vehicle technologies, and the ability to work with a team to deliver reliable repairs.

The candidate should have strong customer service skills, basic computer skills, and an up-to-date driver's license. The position supports ongoing training and growth opportunities within the dealership network.

Qualifications

• Prior Service Technician experience required.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies.
• Strong customer service skills and teamwork.
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform used vehicle inspections and provide repair estimates.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brakes, and A/C.
• Coordinate with Service Advisor and Used Car Managers on needed services.
• Estimate time needed for additional repairs.
